All of the columns are sortable. Take advantage of this when comparing players.
LB: Leaderboard. This represents a conservative measure of the player’s skill level and is recommended by Microsoft Research Labs. This is calculated as follows: LB = Mu – 2*Sigma. Mu is the skill level of the player and Sigma is the degree of uncertainty that we have about his skill level. As a player plays more matches, his skill level will be known with greater confidence and the Sigma will decrease.
S1234X: Number of matches played at Singles Flights 1, 2, 3, 4. Matches at higher flights (X) are usually part of a singles or doubles tournament.
D123X: Number of matches played at Doubles Flights 1, 2, 3. Matches at higher flights (X) are usually part of a singles or doubles tournament.
A player with a Mu level of 1.0 higher than another player has an 80% chance of beating the lower ranked player. However, this may not hold up for players with large Sigma values, since we have less confidence that the player’s Mu value accurately represents his true skill level.
